Buried in the Leaves

This sweet picture was taken right before the first cold front swept through north Texas.  We all wore jeans and short-sleeved shirts, except for Ed who worked up a great sweat mulching the leaves that I graciously raked into the yard.  He was very grateful for my help.  No, he doesn’t read my blog.  And then there’s poor Trip, who thinks you’re supposed to get buried in leaves.  Would someone please take this boy to the beach and bury him in the sand?  His parents have obviously not done right by him.

  1. We used to bury ourselves in the leaves when I was a child in Tulsa about 50 years ago but sometimes there would be a snake in the leaves. I am ready for the ice to melt.
